Lows Friday morning will dip into the 20’s in the higher elevations and frost/freeze advisories may be posted in the Foothills of North Carolina. What will be the coldest night of the season, those with agricultural interests should take precaution to protect sensitive crops.
Rural areas from roughly I-85 and west, should go ahead and prepare for frost and test those furnaces and heat pumps. Daytime highs going into the weekend will struggle to reach the 60’s/70’s. Fall is on folks!
We’ll have more in the morning about the upcoming chill.
