Complete Weather Stations:

A complete weather station could run into the tens of thousands for a research-grade system. More off the shelf consumer level systems can range from $150 – $2000.

Then there are other things like thermometers, barometers, hygrometers, and just about anything you can imagine.

Some places to start right away, would be the Garden Center of your favorite Home Improvement store like Lowe’s or Home Depot (once these sites, search “weather” to see their catalog). They carry inexpensive weather stations like Acurite that are pretty darn good! Perhaps the most well-known weather shop online it The Weather Shack and they carry everything.

I am hoping that Santa brings me a portable anemometer so I can check the wind speed when I am out in the field (Hint, Hint, Hint).
