NC Weather Happens would like to take a moment to wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving and especially to say thank you for being a fan! Mrs NC Weather Happens and I will be spending the day with our family doing…you guessed it…eating, playing, talking, bickering, catching up, and telling the same old stories. We will come home and collapse! We wouldn’t have it any other way and we hope your day is as well spent.

Our family left Sussex England in 1639 aboard the Abigail and arrived in Plymouth not long after the Mayflower. At Thanksgiving, we like to reflect on the persecution they escaped, and the hardship they endured when they arrived to the New World. Through our genealogy, we find a proud tradition of service and commitment to this great country. In a break from the weather, NC Weather Happens would like to thank the men and women of our armed services and their families for their service and sacrifice. Thanksgiving for our Troops

Thank you, Lord, for the courage and selfless service of our military troops. Thank you for their dedication in the face of difficulties and challenges. Thank you for their families. I pray that all of our servicemen and women will experience Your mercy each day, and that You will provide for their every need. Let them feel your presence with them, and your everlasting love. In Christ’s name, amen.
